The Finance for Biodiversity (F4B) initiative was established by the MAVA foundation in October 2019 with the aim of increasing the materiality of biodiversity in global finance and has since developed a rich portfolio of work. The finance-nature nexus is evolving and expanding rapidly, as is F4B, and we currently have several exciting opportunities to drive forward and build out our portfolio.
F4B is seeking someone to join the team as a Managing Principal. This position oversees the content delivery of the broad F4B portfolio, ensuring the delivery of existing workstreams, including the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) portfolio. The Managing Principal will work very closely with the COO to oversee funding pitches, report to funders. The Project Manager will form part of the F4B Leadership Group, with additional responsibilities as the primary link with the coordination team, including the planning of Leadership Group and Grant Committee meetings. The candidate may additionally own or participate in the delivery of other projects in the F4B portfolio.
Principal/ Senior Manager
F4B is seeking someone to join the team as a Principal/ Senior Manager. The aim of the role is to help run the envisaged task force on nature markets, including overseeing related research, outreach, task force members, links to other workstreams, pitching for additional resources. The role will include budget and resourcing responsibilities. The Principal will form part of the F4B Leadership Group, with additional responsibilities in relation to the Strategy Group and Grants Committee. This task force on nature markets portfolio of work will involve: (1) creating new solutions, platforms, opportunities, and tools in service to high-momentum nature market initiatives, (2) establishing a new community of practice which will take forward the cause of market creation at an accelerated pace and (3) supporting the launch of the next generation of investment platforms and nature exchanges. The candidate may additionally own or participate in the delivery of other projects in the F4B portfolio.
F4B is seeking a Project Manager to manage the successful delivery of a dynamic and multi-faceted portfolio, working closely with the Workstream Principals. The successful candidate will work across the portfolio, and working knowledge of the of key areas will be important. Initial priorities will be to support the Principal in charge of running the task force on nature markets, and building out the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD2). For this initial contract, they will be overseen by the Task Force Principal.
